The paper is an attempt to determine the frequency of inflectional suffixs -i and -a with movable -a- in the genitiv case in the Croatian language and to find factors detemining it. The first part presents the current state of knowledge and research on the inflectional suffixes in scientific papers and grammars. The second part carries out an analysis on the material extracted from the hrWaC corpus with regards to: the number of attestations, the word stem, the place of articulation and an analysis of collocations. The Pernar part is an analysis of Ivan Pernar's language in regard to data obtained in the second section.
