The journal "Poradnik Językowy" publishes papers in the fields of Polish, Slavic and general linguistics, as well as glottodidactics and logopaedics.

Publication in our journal is free of charge.

The following types of texts are accepted for publication (after a qualifying procedure): scientific and review articles, reviews and discussions of scientific works, reports from scientific conferences and symposia and information on the activities of the Society for the Culture of Language, as well as commemorative texts ( jubilees, obituaries and commemorations).

Papers are publihed under lincense Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International.

"Poradnik Językowy" allows authors to retain the copyright of their papers without restrictions. Authors will then grant the publisher the right of first publication, and other non-exclusive publishing rights.

 Submitted manuscripts are evaluated by the Editor in about 30 days. If the article receives a positive opinion, we send it to two external reviewers. Reviews are completed in about 60 days.

We kindly ask the authors to follow the following editorial guidelines:

• The length of the article should not exceed 22 standard typewritten pages (approx. 40 000 characters including spaces), while the length of other texts should not exceed 7 pages (approx. 12 000 characters including spaces).
• Please include a short (10 lines) abstract and keywords in Polish and English with the article text. The abstract should include: 1) justification of the conducted research; 2) presentation of the results; 3) discussion of the research method.
• Journal titles and citations - if not otherwise distinguished (e.g. different type size) - are indicated in inverted commas.
• Italics are used for all discussed words, phrases and sentences, the titles of books and parts of works, i.e. chapters and articles, as well as foreign language phrases incorporated into the Polish text.
• Text emphasis is indicated by a space (bold print).
• The meaning of words is  put in single quotation marks: ''.
• Bibliographical references in the text and the bibliography should be written in the Latin alphabet only. We ask authors to provide transliterations of names, titles etc. written in non-Latin alphabets according to ALA-LC (American Library Association - Library of Congress) standards (https://www.loc.gov/catdir/cpso/roman.html).
• The editors accept texts via the platform of the Faculty of Polish Studies (https://www.journals.polon.uw.edu.pl/index.php/pj/). To submit a text, you need to log in; registration is required before the first login. Submissions can be made throughout the year.
• We ask authors to submit texts in two versions: full and anonymised (without information allowing to identify to author).
• First-time authors are requested to provide their first name, surname, academic or professional title, ORCID number, the name of the scientific institution (to which they wish to affiliate the article text), personal address, e-mail address and telephone number. Please send files in MS Word format (*doc, *.rtf).
• Authors are required to submit a statement on the originality of the texts.

We use Harvard style (as shown below) in the notation of bibliographies and bibliographical footnotes in the text:
