Dietrich Scholze (Šołta in Sorbian), was born in 1950 in Bautzen, and studied at the University of Humboldt in East Berlin in 1969–1973, he obtained the title of certified Polish and Russian translator. In the years 1974–1991 he worked as a historian of Polish literature at the Central Institute of the History of Literature of the GDR Academy of Sciences in Berlin, and in the years 1989–1991 he was the head of the Department of Slavic Studies. In the years 1992–2016 he served as head of the Sorbian Institute in Bautzen and Cottbus, and in 1997 he obtained the title of honorary professor of sorabic studies at the University of Leipzig. He still works in Lusatia as an author, publisher, translator, literary and theater critic.

Zdzisław Kłos, Slavist, Sorabist and promoter of Lusatian culture, affiliated with the Institute of Western and Southern Slavic Studies at the University of Warsaw. He has been associated with the journal Zeszyty Łużyckie for many years and served as its Editor-in-Chief in 2019. He is the author of numerous publications on the history and culture of the Sorbs, including the book Spojrzenie na kulturę Serbołużyczan (An insight into Sorbian culture) (2013). His research interests focus on the culture, history and contemporary realities of Lusatia, as well as Polish–Sorbian relations.
