Bartosz Dondelewski graduated in Hispanic Philology from the Jagiellonian University and from the UNESCO Chair for Translation Studies and Intercultural Communication at the Jagiellonian University. He obtained his PhD degree on the basis of the dissertation La identidad y el cambio en A Fala de Xálima (Identity and change in A Fala de Xálima) (2020). His research interests focus on the sociolinguistics and dialectology of the Iberian Peninsula. He is particularly interested in minority languages and the ideological and identity dynamics present within the communities that speak them. He studies these issues using the tools of sociocultural linguistics and linguistic anthropology. He is also a member of the Asociación Internacional de Estudos Galegos and a researcher in the Otra Iberia research group (University of Warsaw), which focuses on the minoritised languages, literatures, and cultures of the Iberian Peninsula.

Natalia Czopek

Natalia Czopek graduated in Hispanic Philology (specialisation in Linguistics) from the Jagiellonian University, where she completed her MA thesis entitled Implantação e situação actual da língua portuguesa em África (The establishment and current status of the Portuguese language in Africa). In the academic year 2002/2003, she studied at the University of Coimbra. In 2009, she obtained her PhD degree with a dissertation supervised by Professor Barbara Hlibowicka-Węglarz entitled O subjuntivo / o conjuntivo como um dos meios de expressão de modalidade nas línguas espanhola e portuguesa (The subjunctive as one of the means of expressing modality in Spanish and Portuguese). She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Portuguese Studies at the Jagiellonian University, where she teaches practical Portuguese language courses, Portuguese descriptive grammar (morphology, syntax, semantics, and sociolinguistics), and undergraduate linguistic seminars. In 2021, she published the monograph O fenómeno de transferência interlinguística gramatical na aprendizagem do português L3 no contexto do ensino superior polaco. O caso do modo conjuntivo (The phenomenon of grammatical interlinguistic transfer in learning Portuguese as an L3 in the context of Polish higher education: the case of the subjunctive). Since 1 October 2023, she has served as Head of the Department of Portuguese Studies at the Jagiellonian University.
