Dziurawiąc cytat: problem zmiennych w wyrażeniach mowy niezależnej
Abstrakt
Niniejszy tekst podejmuje dyskusję nad specjalnym typem fraz, które, choć pojawiają się w wyrażeniach cytacyjnych, nie stanowią fragmentów cytowanej wypowiedzi. Frazy tego typu wprowadzają jednak zmienne sygnalizujące brakujące człony wypowiedzi źródłowej. Przedstawiona analiza ukazuje pewien ciekawy problem: wypowiedzi cytacyjne zachowują się jednocześnie jak jednostki semantycznie proste i złożone, co stanowi istotny problem dla analizy formalnej. Przekonujące rozwiązanie, jak starałem się pokazać,
można zaproponować, zakładając, że mechanizmy mające zasadniczo charakter słowotwórczy są traktowane jako operacje zdefiniowane dla ukształtowanych już struktur składniowych. W tym sensie tekst ten dostarcza argumentu na rzecz zunifikowania morfologii i składni do jednego mechanizmu morfoskładniowego, rozwijanego w literaturze w m.in. w ramach programu A. Marantza (1996, 1997).
