Abstract

This text explores pop-cultural texts that portray mythology (especially the Classical one) through the lens of contemporary perspectives on queerness and otherness, using various strategies for expressing identities employed by new generations of recipients (and authors). In their analyses, the authors focus primarily on examining the RPG system City of Mist, created in 2017 by Amít Moshe for Son of Oak Game Studio, and the video games Hades by Supergiant Games (2020) and Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical by Summerfall Studios (2023), with contextual references to other popular culture works, including games and TV series.
